In 2023, a short-distance intelligent dispatching and transportation project was undertaken for a medium-sized coal mine in the Czech Republic.
As a long-established European mine, this facility features a compact underground roadway layout, primarily involving short-distance dispatching and transportation scenarios for light materials such as equipment parts and support supplies. Previously, the mine relied on manual handling combined with small winches, which suffered from low efficiency, high labor costs, significant noise pollution, and non-compliance with European coal mines’ green environmental and intelligent development requirements.
Leveraging our comprehensive industrial chain advantages, we customized an integrated explosion-proof lithium-ion battery monorail locomotive. The system integrates the host, drive units, and control system into a compact design, making it ideal for narrow underground roadways. By adding connecting rods to increase the number of drive units, it supports configurations of up to four drives to meet varying load demands. The equipment features zero emissions and low noise, maintaining 80% efficiency even in harsh underground conditions such as high humidity and temperature fluctuations, with a range of 10 to 18 kilometers. Equipped with an intelligent dispatching system, it supports remote control and monitoring, eliminating the need for dedicated on-board personnel and significantly reducing labor costs.
Since its deployment, the system has rapidly achieved a 60% increase in transfer efficiency compared to manual handling. With just two to three workers per shift, all dispatching and transportation tasks are completed, effectively resolving the mine’s short-distance transportation challenges. Its green, intelligent, and efficient characteristics fill a gap in the European market for compact monorail systems designed for underground coal mining operations. Highly praised by the mine management, the project led to a long-term cooperation agreement, making our company the exclusive supplier of monorail equipment for this mine.
